I would like to sit here today and write as though everything were normal. As though I were actually capable of holding myself together and forming complete sentences. But in reality the house hunting, house buying, packing, quitting my job, planning a road trip, and trying to enjoy our last few weeks in Seattle has turned me into a total crazy person.
Moving is a strange thing. It’s exciting and scary and emotional and so so much work. I’ve been scared to leave Seattle. Scared to start over. But as Jimmy and I sat on the runway in Austin this weekend- looking out onto a city that doesn’t quite yet feel like home- it occurred to me that whatever happens, wherever we end up, the fact that we’ll be doing it together is enough to keep me going.
The recipes will be few and far between as we pack ourselves up and out but I’ll try and post pictures and updates along the way.
