Moving is a strange thing. One minute you're going about your day- work, pilates, happy hour, wondering when summer will start- and then poof you are 3,000 miles away, sweating in 100 degree summer heat, paying a mortgage, picking out tile, and stressing about how you are going to maintain a backyard that seems to be doubling as a jungle. We're swimming in paint and floor samples and making decision upon decision upon decision. It's hard work but it'll be exciting to see our new home slowly take shape. The kitchen will be unpacked this week and I can't wait to get back in it. Hope you all are having a wonderful summer!

In the days since we last spoke I've quit my job, packed up an apartment, purchased a house, said goodbye to friends, and travelled long ways on long roads.

There's a certain feeling that comes from being out there in the world. From being on the way to somewhere new. You truly begin to understand the smallness of your world. We were a pinprick, a moving dot on a map headed towards a place we knew we would eventually get to and a slight idea of how we would get there.

We're in Austin now and looking forward to moving into our new house with its bright green door and big backyard and window-lined kitchen.

Thank you for being a part of my travels. I'll be back soon.
